Glad you asked! Eligible Seattle residents can get $100 in Democracy Vouchers to support candidate(s) in the 2017 City of Seattle elections. The Democracy Voucher Program aims to encourage more Seattle residents to donate to campaigns and/or run for elected positions themselves.
If you are a registered voter in Seattle, you’ve already gotten your Democracy Vouchers by mail. You may not receive Democracy Vouchers if you are registered to vote in another county.
If you are a registered voter in Seattle and have not received your Democracy Vouchers, or you need them replaced, please e-mail email@example.com or call 206-727-8855 (language assistance available). You will be asked to provide your name, date of birth, and mailing address.
If you are not a registered voter in Seattle, you can still apply for Democracy Vouchers! You can find the application online at http://www.seattle.gov/democracyvoucher. In order to apply, you must be a Seattle resident, at least 18 years of age, and a U.S. citizen, U.S. national, or lawful permanent resident ("green card holder").
Fill out the back of the vouchers with all the information required: your name, voting residence address, and the name of the candidate you want to send your democracy vouchers to - Ty Pethe for Seattle City Council Position 9! Then send them right away - it takes the City some time to verify all your information and get your donation to the campaign.
